Oatlands Golf Course have made a Development Application to double the size of the dam on the Vineyard Creek. It is being opposed by residents and the Vineyard Creek Reserve Committee. The proposal wants to exploit a natural resource at community expense while potentially constricting the small amount of water that might flow down the creek. While the proposal requires deepening of the dam, the water in the dam even in its current form rarely fills up making the proposed deepening of little real benefit. Please contact your local councillor to vote against the proposal.
